WooCommerce Plugin installed but won't activate

I installed the WooCommerce plugin, but after clicking activate, it goes to a blank grey screen with no information on, when refreshed it returns to normal but without the plugin activated.

Hello,

You’re using old WordPress version that WooCommerce no longer supports.
Please update WordPress and then activate the plugin.
Create a back up at first.
