1. The theme woodm*** have an great option to work perfet with wp-rocket:
You can exclude the parts from woodm*** theme code and css which will cause problems in combination with wp-rocket. Only with one click. So you can fully cache the theme, but exclude that part from theme which will cause an problem.
See also attached screenshot.
This option will give you the maximal power of caching and page optimization without breaking the website. In Xstore there is no option like this. We need to do to “trial and error” methods. Also in forum there i no js file list which we shoud exclude from delay option of wp-rocket.
In woodm*** forum there are better and top notch options:
exclude by given filelist or exclude scripts by theme option. Only one click.
In exstore is an trial and error job to find the correct configuration.
In your guide here there is also no information about the correct configuration – only empty screenshots of wp-rocket without exclude file list:
So there is finally only one solution:
1. Trial and error with a lot of hours of work.
2. Exclude full theme code from wp-rocket, will is not good.
If you do not 1. or 2. you will have a broken mini cart style. Like in attached screenshot.
I have two questions:
1. I dont wanna send a request for basics like this in the readmap and i have the feeling the users dont will understand this case and its not a famous point of many webmasters. Because most of all users dont cache in agressive mode the website and say: okay, i will have normal optimization because other options will break my website. But this is not truth. The truth is: its possible, but not all know how to handle it.
Question 1: Its so important to have a fast website without adding hours only to find the correct exclude file list – and at the same time its a 10 seconds job in another theme to exclude the correct scripts. Why not implement this good feeling into xstore also?
Coud you send me the file we shoud exclude from wp-rocket?
And do you plan to add this “exclude critical file list from wp-rocket” option into your theme also?
2. Why the mini cart is broken after enabled wp-rocket?
The broken mini cart style came after we enabled “remove unused css” option in wp-rocket.
In woodm*** theme this files are excluded out of the box from wp-rocket. Which files we shoud exclude please? And may you plan to add a function like another theme to your theme also?
