WPBakery Visual Composer plugin fatal error

I have a local installation of WP bitnami stack for local development of my website. Today after trying to update the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin through the automatic updater from the dashboard I realised that a manual download/installation is required. After manually installing the new update and during re-activation it turns the following fatal error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare hex2rgb() (previously declared in /Users/Yiannis/Projects/Aris_Uniforms/Website/au-demo1/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/themes/woopress/framework/theme-functions.php:4990) in /Users/Yiannis/Projects/Aris_Uniforms/Website/au-demo1/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/helpers/helpers.php on line 1155

Hello,

Please update theme to the latest version (2.2) then try update Visual Composer again.
If the issue will persist then provide us with wp-admin and FTP credentials in Private Content.

I’m currently downloading the latest version from themeforest. The update shouldn’t be appearing on my dashboard?

Nope, the theme update didn’t solve the visual composer plugin issue.
Tried all the possible ways to re-install the plugin but returns the following fatal error when trying to activate it:

This is a local installation of WordPress developing environment and my operating system is OSX 10.10.4. How can I give you ftp access on my computer. (and if I could, I’m not sure that I want to)

Hello,

Try temporarily to switch to other theme and activate VC plugin. After that activate Woopress theme.
