Hello,
I’m currently developing this website which needs to be launched ASAP. I can’t make the top bar where the wishlist, account, cart, logout/sign-in to translate using WPML.
Is there a way to get around this?
Also I am trying to: translate the prices of the attributes of my products. At the moment when I translate products the tick box under custom fields for _price is set to copy rather to Translate. I need to be able to set this to translate.
Are you able to help me with this?
Thank you for your time!
Kind Regards,
Marcela Ramos

Hello,
I have the same problem as Marcela concerning the translation. I want to translate the things in the header like “cart”, “items”, “wishlist” and “account”. I did not try WPML yet because I was not sure if that would help me. As I can see it might not help. Could you explain how I can translate those things easily? Maybe even without using WPML?
Thanks and regards
Christian
Hello @WaniCreative,
I’ve checked different languages on your site and top bar links are translated:
Could you please show a screenshot what you can’t translate?
Thank you.

Hello Eva,
Thank you very much for this.
I ended up figuring up how to translate it – through the String translation.
Also regarding the price convert. What I’m trying to do really is have the prices on the attributes to change as well with the currency.
So the top price changes into Euros no problem but the selection options still appear as £ and they should be appear in Euros. It was working before just fine but now is not.
Is there some advise you can give me on this?
Thank you so much!
Kind Regards,
Marcela
Ok, so I understood that in Marcelas case WPML worked.
Just to make clear: I did not install WPML yet. Just wanted to check if there is a solution for that without WPML.
So is there any alternative solution?
If not I have to try WPML like Marcela.

Hello @WaniCreative,
When checking product attributes in English it shows price in pounds, when I select French or German language the attributes price is changed to euro.
Please it with other browser.
Thank you.

Eva Kemp.
Hello Eva,
Unfortunately is not working. I believed you view the first product I did before I updated the theme and plugins. As I mentioned it was working before but any of the new products I am trying to add, the selection of attributes shows in pounds on the product page – it changes on the cart page no problem.
My issue is on the product page that doesn’t display the attributes in the correct currency.
For example – when you are on a product and you choose an option 50g it should display the price in pounds if language is english but if you change the language to french or anything else it should display Euros but instead it still displays in pounds.
Thank you for your help.
Kind Regards,
Marcela
Hello @WaniCreative,
You’ve written prices in Products > Attributes and haven’t translated those options.
So to make the prices be changed in different languages you need translate them according to the documentation:
http://wpml.org/documentation/support/translating-woocommerce-sites-default-language-english/
Thank you.

Hello Eva,
Thank you for this.
So pretty much there is not an automatic way of getting these attributes converted from Pounds to Euros? I have to go and match exactly each attribute for each product?
What if I decide to adjust the exchange rate do I have to go through all my products and exchange every single one?
Please let me know.
Thank you for your help!
Kind Regards,
Marcela
Hello @WaniCreative,
Yes, you should translate each attribute.
Also you need to edit each product for the changes.

Eva Kemp.

Hi Robert,
I just added a new product and now on the Woocommerce multilanguage on the product translations – I cannot see the field for the weight attribute on the translation table.
It seems since I updated the theme the woocommerce is not working properly. Could you please help me with this issue?
Thank you very much for your help

Hello @creeb,
Please provide us with FTP credentials as well and specify what you’re unable to translate.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Ok, here you can find the FTP data:
Hello @creeb,
Your site is redirecting to other link.
Please provide us with the correct url and specify in what folder your files are located.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Hi Eva,
I’m sorry, it is just the starting page that redirects to that other page right now. I deactivated that redirection temporary.
Hello @creeb,
I don’t see the code $locale
with prefix with your language name in wp-config.php file.
Please refer to our documentation: https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/index.html#!/how_to_translate
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Thanks for that information and sorry that I overlooked that part of the documentation.
