Hi guys,
I’ve created an “add to cart button” through the XStore Shortcodes and I’m having 2 issues that I need help solving:
1) The button works to add an item to the cart. However, instead of allowing the customer to remain on the page and continue shopping, no matter what I select as a target (blank or current window), it bounces the customer over to the homepage after adding the product to the cart.
What I’m using as the URL is (https://www.mywebsite.com/?add-to-cart=123). Could the issue be the url that I’m using (of course, I’m using my actual website url and an appropriate id#)?
What I’m doing is creating unique pages for individual customers where I would like the to have the ability to add more than 1 produce to their carts “before” heading over to their cart to checkout. How can this be done?
2) I’m fine with the “hover-over” colour of red, but how can I change the colour of the initial state? It’s a very light-gray/almost white, which doesn’t work for me when used up against a light background. How can I change this?
Thanks,
Yohan
Hello,
1) If you use to link to your home page then, of course, you’ll be redirected to home page. Use the link to page where you added Add to cart button if you want to stay on that page.
2) Are you talking about button background color? You can change it in Theme Options > Styling > Content > Buttons > light buttons

Hi Olga,
Thanks for the quick response. In the examples I found on how to create an “add to cart” url, they all provided the main domain address. I didn’t realize it should be specific to the page, or the page you wanted loaded. Thank you.
With respect to the button, I’ve tried changing the colour several times, through the path you provided, and the main state background colour, for the light button, will not change on the page when I load it. I’ve even tried adjusting it to the dark button, just in case, and it isn’t working. Would you mind taking a look?
Just to further clarify, I did some more fiddling around, and the button colours did change. However, not the button created through the shortcode.
Hello,
I see. Ok, then try this custom code
.btn {
border-color: blue;
background-color: blue;
color: white;
}

2) In wich settings I need to go to set url when the add to cart button. gets pressed so that the customers can shopping more products before they go to cart and checkout?
I would be happy for help! 🙂

I have another problem with the variation swatches I want the same variations watch like the standard from woocommerce on the product page on the shop page over the add to cart button ! is that possible? If you need to understand for that problem a screenshot let me know please!
For the Variation swatches I did the exact the same liken the tutorial!!
I thing the Variation Switches settings in the customizer doesn’t work or I do something wrong because if I activate it there is no difference!!!
Hello, Alfi,
We appreciate your prompt response.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to display swatches on the shop page in the same way as on the single product page. You may try to reconfigure the ‘Add to Cart’ block using options from the following section: Customizer -> WooCommerce (Shop) -> Products Design.
