Hi,
I was thinking of switching from yith wishlist to your own built in wishlist, i was wondering about some thing regarding caching
There is an option in the settings called “caching time” which is set to 1 week. What does this do exactly i can’t find it in the documentation?
Also in regards to the built in wishlist and caching:
– Is the wishlist “number of items” bullet from the header loaded with ajax ?
– Is the add to wishlist buttons ( both the ones on the shop and the one on the product page ) loaded with ajax ?
I ask because if not then the buttons will get cached with the wrong “state” and many viewers will see the wrong buttons
Lets say a page that has the product added to wishlist gets cached. A new visitor will receive the cached version and see the button as if the product was already added
Thank you in advance
Hello, Clau8826,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
Please watch our video about Wishlist – https://youtu.be/ZyjZ-vCx0pE
Caching time option – Specify the time after which the customer wishlist items cache will be cleared. Note: the customer wishlist items will be kept in the cache for the time you set in this option or until the browser cookies are cleared. This will add an additional cookie to the customer’s browser with the following parameters: name: “xstore_wishlist_ids_0”, purpose: “To store Built-in Wishlist product information”, expiry: “7 days by default”.
Note: Please remember to include this in the security policy (GDPR).
Your customers should not face the mentioned problem. You can temporarily activate our Wishlist and do tests from different devices.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Our support team is always available to assist you.
