Hello
I changed the name of the XStore theme, and updating or installing a new demo has never been a problem until now. I updated XStore to v9.2.6. When I tried to install the new yoga demo, I received the following error message:
“XStore Core plugin requires the following theme:
Xstore x.9.2.6. To continue – update your theme.”
I need to know how to bypass this check, or your dev team recognise that some of us would have changed the theme folder name and theme name to protect our clients from finding out the use of XStore as a base theme, and in the next update recognise that different names are possible. it doesn’t know that i do have the latest theme installed. This is a massive problem for those of us designing for others, whilst using XStore a base theme.
Regards
Hello, @Robert,
Thank you for using our theme and for contacting us.
1/ This seems you renamed the parent theme folder name, If you rename the parent theme folder then you can’t automatically update the theme and will have that notification. we recommend to change the parent theme folder name to the default one. Child theme name could be any you need.
2/ We would like to inform you that an update is available for the XStore theme and the core plugin. To ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features, please proceed with updating the theme to the latest version, 9.2.6, and the core plugin to version 5.2.6. You can review the update history and obtain the necessary files via the following link: https://xstore.8theme.com/update-history/
For detailed guidance on updating the theme, please refer to our documentation here:
https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-installation/theme-update/
Additionally, instructions for updating the core plugin can be found at this link:

Once you have successfully updated both the theme and the core plugin, you will be able to import the demo onto your site without any issues.
We hope you find this information useful.

I was provided with help a number of years ago in changing the folder name and theme name, so the fact that I was using the theme would not be known to clients.
I will update and try again, but i will not be changing the theme folder name back.
