    Hello, Layer0,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern regarding the WPML translation of products on your website.

We understand that maintaining the same image for a product across all languages is crucial for a consistent user experience. To address this issue, please ensure that you have set the WPML Media Translation plugin to duplicate the images for translated products. You can do this by navigating to the WPML > Settings page in your WordPress dashboard, and under the Media Translation section, make sure the option to duplicate media for translated content is selected.

If you have already configured these settings and the issue persists, we would recommend you contact support of the WPML plugin directly.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team

Hi, this option is selected (screenshot attached).
the problem is that the options in the “XStore Options” section are not maintained. the problem also applies to “Additional custom block”.

Do I have to manually edit all translated products?

    Hello, Layer0,

We kindly request that you provide us with two URLs of the same product displayed in different languages to allow us to thoroughly examine the issue at hand. Additionally, to facilitate a more in-depth analysis of your settings, we would appreciate it if you could grant us temporary access to your WordPress administration panel.

    Hello, Layer0,

We kindly request that you attempt the following resolution: navigate to Theme Options, then proceed to WooCommerce, followed by Single Product Builder. From there, access Multiple Templates and opt to Create New Template. Please ensure this template is applied across the entire site and to all products, and do not forget to select the appropriate language. Subsequently, you may proceed to modify the Size Guide image and texts within this new template.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team

ok thanks but does this solution also apply if the SIZE GUIDE is different between one product and another?
because read that way it doesn’t seem like it to me.

or intent on creating a template for each product that has equals:
    – size guide
    – additional block

finally: I can’t find “new template” going through the “theme option” sidebar.

should I go from the top bar and then create a template in Elementor?

Thanks for the support, but I’m a little confused now

    Hello, Layer0,

We would like to inform you that if you have only a few such products, the solution we are proposing might be suitable for your needs. Kindly review the attached screenshot, which illustrates the location of the Multiple templates feature for your convenience: https://prnt.sc/7Rfoy6KODX28 (Theme Options > WooCommerce (Shop) > Single Product Builder).

Should this solution not meet your requirements, we kindly request that you provide us with FTP access. This will enable us to conduct a more thorough investigation and determine the best course of action to assist you. For FTP access, we require the following details: FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port, and FTP encryption type. If you need assistance in creating these credentials, please reach out to your hosting provider who will guide you through the process.

    We appreciate your cooperation.

ok thanks, I think I’ll try the “Multiple templates” solution on a staging copy (siteground) to be safe.

via FTP what do you plan to do? any custom code? just to understand.

    thank you very much

    Hello, Layer0,

    You’re welcome!

Upon receipt of the FTP credentials, we will promptly assign the matter to our technical team. Their initial step will be to ascertain whether there is an issue with the code on our end. Following this, they will endeavor to identify a solution to your query, which may involve custom code for a child theme or a global resolution that could benefit all our clients.

It is currently perplexing why other clients have not reported difficulties with translation. Our investigation may reveal that the theme is functioning correctly, and the situation could be due to improper WPML settings on your site, or it may be that the desired outcome is technically unattainable at this time. It is difficult to determine without further analysis.

To proceed with our investigation, we require the aforementioned access. A staging copy would also suffice.

    Best regards,

    Hello, Layer0,

Upon review, it appears that the solution may be simpler than we initially anticipated. Please take a moment to examine the product within the private content area.

Should you have uploaded a custom image through the product settings for the Italian version, we kindly ask that you replicate this action for the English version as well. You can refer to the following screenshot for guidance: https://prnt.sc/MuMoBG-ltAKd. Additionally, please ensure the same procedure is followed for the “Additional custom block.”

We appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your prompt response.

Hi, yes, I had already seen that it was possible to modify the translated product (from Italian to English) to insert:
    – sizing image
    – custom blocks

but I would like these options to be maintained during translation with WPML. it’s impossible?

because otherwise we would have to manually review all the translated products

    Thank you

    Hello, Layer0,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the Size Guide and Additional Custom Block options and their translation compatibility with WPML. We recommend contacting WPML support for assistance, given that you have purchased their product and are entitled to support through their forum. Their team is best equipped to provide guidance on how to ensure these fields can be effectively translated automatically.

In your inquiry with WPML support, you may find it helpful to provide the following field IDs that we utilize for saving Size Guide and Additional Custom Block data:

    – _et_additional_block for the Additional Block key
    – _et_size_guide_img for the Size Guide image URL

These fields are stored as post_meta and retrieved for display on the frontend using the WordPress function get_post_meta($postid,’_et_additional_block’, true).

Should WPML support identify a global solution for your request, and if it can be implemented in a future theme update, we would greatly appreciate such a solution as it would benefit other customers facing similar questions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

here is the answer from WPML that allowed me to solve the problem.

go to WPML –> Settings –> Custom fields translations
    – search for these fields and put them as translate

I made you a video (in Italian) on how to translate the fields:
