Hello. Why your theme only have this structure of product grid? -> Image, title, add to cart. Thats it. Your theme does not have any other grid style. We only can change the color/sizes and show/hide the elements. But your theme does not have any other structure of product grid like woodmart. Why? In other themes we have for example 11 total different builded product grid styles that you can not build only via “show / hide” controle options. Here you see only few examples how much powerfull and nice different grid styles can look. You can select it and you will have it in 3 seconds. How to do this with your theme? For example i wanna have 3 icons in one line: Wishlist icon Add to cart button and quick view. Or i wanna have first the add to cart button and then compare and quick view icon. Here you see a lot of more product grids with complete diffrent positions of elements that you can not build via theme panel options: https://ibb.co/VLPBsQG
Why your theme missing this basics in 2024? We talking about one of the most important shop element: the product grid/visibility and their design options in only 3 seconds done.
Dear @Tommy,
We hope this message finds you well. Regarding your inquiry about the Archive Product Builder on your website, it is not mandatory to use this feature if it does not currently meet your needs. You may continue to utilize the default shop layout, which can be easily configured via the Theme Options to suit your preferences.
However, if you are interested in using the builder and want more control over the arrangement of elements, we can offer a workaround that will allow you to organize the icons (Wishlist, Add to Cart, Quick View, etc.) in your preferred order. If you’d like to proceed with this option, please let us know, and we will provide you with a tailored solution.
We also want to acknowledge the importance of your suggestion regarding enhanced functionality for the Archive Product widget. It is surprising that this request has not come up before, and we believe it could attract significant interest from other customers. We encourage you to share your suggestion on our request panel at https://www.8theme.com/account/#etheme_customization_panel. Once it gathers enough support through customer votes, we will prioritize its implementation.
Thank you for your proactive approach and valuable feedback. We look forward to your response and are eager to assist you further.

Both options does not give us the power of this: https://imgbb.com/VLPBsQG
We are in 2024 and neet to talk about this most important element of a webshop: the product grid. Its frustrating and i never fall in this situation with another theme. If you build a lot of stores you need out of the box option to change the style of the grid and not only color, sizes and show/hide elements. If you do not have this: most of all grids will looks like the same, only color and size is different. Woud you work like this in your projects?

After so many years of developing this theme nobody talking about this before? Wow!

Yes, please share that details with me. I hope you are not going to tell me we have to use elementor grid builder to start building our own product grid from the scratch to solve that basics. 🙁

Dear @Tommy,
We hope this message finds you well.
As previously discussed, various product designs remain accessible for use with the non-builder archive product editor. To locate these settings, please navigate to Theme Options -> WooCommerce -> Shop -> Product Design. You can view the settings here: https://prnt.sc/WmUJoZR1PvLG. Additionally, examples are available via the menu on our main preview page at https://xstore.8theme.com/ (https://prnt.sc/orI6MpfqDNoj). Also, many different designs are available in Archive product widget but you need to test them first and find the ones you would like to use, for reference: https://prnt.sc/V3fkWB8z1hxA
Should you choose to utilize the non-builder versions of product design, further information on modifying elements within the product content may not be necessary. However, if you opt for the product archive builder and find that the default shop product design does not meet your needs, please inform us of your preferred configuration for rearranging the elements within the product builder. We will then provide you with the appropriate code snippet to be added to your child-theme/functions.php.
Thank you for your attention. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Hello Jack,
all your screens only focus on hover style. But we talking about something different:
Please tell me how we can have this elemnets in one line:
add to cart button left side, small compare icon and small quick view icon?
Or:
Wishlist Icon, Add to cart, Quick view icon
you can see this styles here:
I will give you an example:
https://imgbb.com/VLPBsQG
Only one click and you can have complete different design of product grid and not show/hide elements, or only change color and sizes. More we can not do with your theme. Thats strange.
So if you build many stores, most of all product grids will look same.
In woodmart you can select a structure here and additional you can change hover style like in your theme, chnge colors, font sizes and many more. But additional we can select complete different product structure in woodmart, in your theme not.
I hope you can show us an snippet how to solve this. And i hope you will improve your theme in next update regarding this issue.
The product grid is one of the most important element in a shop and its so much limited. Also the product grid widget in elementor: here for example we can not say: show / hide empty rating. If you build a custom ladingpage with a custom design, the themepanel will inherit this setting and you can not have custom layout per landingpage.
Yes, maybe this are details. But details which professional angeny with platin woocommerce status needs.

Hey Tommy,
Thank you for your detailed feedback. We have already outlined the basis of our approach. We prioritize developing features that are important to the majority of our customers rather than focusing on individual requests. If we focused on individual needs, the theme would become unnecessarily heavy, not well-optimized, and overly complex.
We can see that you’ve submitted a great feature request where customers can vote. At this time, we only see one vote from your side. If the feature gains enough support, we will consider it for future updates. https://8theme.upvoty.com/b/xstore/product-grid-styles-with-different-structures-interfaces/ For now, we recommend using custom code for your specific needs, as these particular requests do not appear to be a priority for most users.
Thank you for your understanding.
Warm Regards,
The 8Theme Team
Wow. Never stuck in basics with a modern theme before.
But okay, lets wait years to handle most simple needs like: controle show/hide empty stars per widget and not per global settings. Next dramatic issue: most of all your widgets does not have “inherit by theme” option. So you need to setup each design per widget. In other themes you have for most of all widget settings in elementor the dropdown value: inherit by theme. ONly one click, and that job is done.
By using your widgets we have to do each job again what we already finished in theme panel…
Please improve your theme in details and stop adding more and more functions. First optimize the base in deep.

Dear @Tommy,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you about the methods available for rearranging elements within your product design.
1. PHP Snippet Modification: You can achieve the desired reordering by adding a PHP snippet to your child theme’s functions.php file. Below is the code you should implement:
add_filter('etheme_product_grid_list_product_elements', function($elements) {
$new_sorted_elements = array();
if ( array_key_exists('rating', $elements) ) {
$new_sorted_elements['rating'] = $elements['rating'];
}
if ( array_key_exists('title', $elements) ) {
$new_sorted_elements['title'] = $elements['title'];
}
if ( array_key_exists('categories', $elements) ) {
$new_sorted_elements['categories'] = $elements['categories'];
}
if ( array_key_exists('image', $elements) ) {
$new_sorted_elements['image'] = $elements['image'];
}
$elements = array_unique(array_merge($new_sorted_elements, $elements));
return $elements;
});
You can view the outcome of this implementation here: https://prnt.sc/GW5ilIQ6uYvq. For reference, the previous design can be viewed here: https://prnt.sc/cKw8i0cYDYIo.
Whole list of elements (https://prnt.sc/FnXfPEUl8rsR) available to modify by such filter you can find in next file:
plugins/et-core-plugin/app/controllers/elementor/general/product-grid.php
2. CSS Customization: Alternatively, you can sort the elements by adding a few lines of CSS specifically for the current products widget. Below is the CSS code used:
selector .etheme-product-grid-item {
display: grid;
}
selector .etheme-product-grid-content {
order: -1;
display: flex;
flex-direction: column;
margin-top: auto;
}
selector .etheme-product-grid-categories {
order: 2;
}
selector .star-rating-wrapper {
order: -1;
}
The design prior to the implementation can be seen here: https://prnt.sc/cKw8i0cYDYIo, and the result after applying the custom CSS is available here: https://prnt.sc/bFjaVVabAwEz.
Should you require further customization or have any questions, please do not hesitate to submit your request via this link: https://prnt.sc/CVOWwUqiLOB0.

Hello Jack,
a lot of themes have option to controle the order to have in each project a custom design. But by using your theme we have now after 3 days tons of custom css and custom snippets to solve that basics.
So my question is:
1. If you check my screenshot here: you see a lot of different product grids and they are complete different by order and strcutre. For example you can have the add to cart button and the wishlist icon in on eline and many more styles: https://imgbb.com/VLPBsQG
Its not so much important if you only build one store. But if you going to handle with a theme many stores you need this to be more unieque. Do you plan to improve that part?
2. If you check my screenshot from another theme you can select one premade structure here: https://imgbb.com/VLPBsQG
In next step you can change also color and sizes and hide/show each element. So it have more power. For example the last product grid option in screenshot have the Add to cart, compare and quick view icon in one line. First the add to cart, then the compare icon and then quick-view. This small details will make the store unieque. The product grid is one of the most important element in a ecommerce store. How to have this style please? I understand you correct we have to pay for that basics because your theme can not handle this out of the box?
I see your handon philosophy. But why you doing this? Why not adding option to controle order out of the box? This will give customer much more power and its very simple to handle for your developers.
Also different grid styles with complete different products grids like this here will help the customers to create more unieque store. https://imgbb.com/VLPBsQG Its not only about hover effect and sizes or font style. And also this is not so complex to develope and will give customer in deep dive more design controle without paid jobs to devs and without a big load of custom code to handle basics like re-order the elements.

Dear @Tommy,
We would like to remind you of our previous suggestion to deactivate the Archive product builder and continue utilizing the default shop page design. Utilizing the builder is depends on your needs and not required. Our Theme Options offer a variety of product designs and configurations that we believe will meet your needs without requiring custom styling. There are numerous designs and layouts available, and we are confident that you will find one that suits your preferences.
Additionally, we have received your future request to enhance the product designs for the Archive product builder. We are monitoring its popularity closely and will keep you informed about any developments. Should this feature gain sufficient interest, we will consider advancing it to the next stage of development.
Our strategy focuses on maintaining a lightweight project by avoiding unnecessary features or code that our clients do not require. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Thank you for your attention.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson
